– 2nd year of training for the 22 students from the pilot project
– The course continues to take place under provisional conditions at the women’s centre
– Two specialisations: ‘Food Production and Beverage’ and ‘Design Clothing and Textiles’
– Work placements lasting several weeks at various organisations and companies
– Final examinations and graduation ceremony on October 4, 2024
2023
– The number of children attending school is increasing
– But also the number of children who do not qualify for further education
– Girls return to the family and are married off in their teens
– ECLAT has offered 12 such girls a two-year craft training programme
– The course takes place under provisional conditions at ECLAT’s women’s centre
– Due to demand, a further 12 students were accepted as day students
– Since the beginning of January, they have been trained by two specialised teachers in
“Food production and beverage” and “Design clothing and textiles”
